Park City

Although it is a city whose worth is dependent on snowfall, Park City holds an incredible value in my heart. This value transcends that of its pricey real estate or ski mountain passes, this value is that of family. My last time visiting we celebrated Christmas during a December with the least recorded amount of snow for decades. The skiing conditions were quite poor by west coast standards, but I was happy. We built snowmen and went sledding, bought presents by day and wrapped them secretly by night. We felt the strange warmth of snow that lived under western sun. We waited in closets and under sinks to be found in hide-and-go seek, and switched to cards instead when we ran out of spots. I find it especially beautiful how the brush peeks through the ice.
